Overview
Heineken is seeking a Mechanical Artisan to join its Supply Chain – Manufacturing team in Springs, Gauteng. The role focuses on machinery maintenance, repairs, and operational efficiency within a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities / Focus Areas
- Maintain machinery and equipment to required standards.
- Perform repairs on production equipment and plant machinery.
- Follow planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Supervise the health and safety of machinery, equipment, and work environment.
- Ensure compliance with the OHS Act.
- Provide effective engineering support to production teams.
- Complete administrative tasks such as job cards and quality check sheets.
- Perform stand-in duties and supervise personnel as required.
- Participate in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Be proactive, hands-on, and take initiative in day-to-day tasks.
Minimum Requirements / Eligibility
- N3–N6 equivalent with a Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Fitter and/or Turner).
- Grade 12 or Mechanical/Electrical NTC3 qualification.
- Full N2 trade theory completed.
- Completed apprenticeship with a recognized institution.
- 2–3+ years of practical experience in a high-speed manufacturing or bottling environment preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated leadership behaviour and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and flexible hours.
