The South African National Space Agency (SANSA) is inviting eligible students to apply for its 2027 Postgraduate Bursary Programme. This bursary aims to support students pursuing postgraduate qualifications in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields.

About the SANSA Postgraduate Bursary Programme

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the SANSA Postgraduate Bursary, applicants must:
- Be studying towards a relevant STEM postgraduate qualification
- Have an academic average of at least 65%
- Be 32 years old or younger
- Be registered or planning to register at a recognised South African institution
- Meet all postgraduate admission requirements
Required Documents
Applicants must submit the following documents:
- Certified copy of South African ID (certified within 3 months)
- Full official university academic record from first year of study
- Official student account statement or NSFAS funding confirmation
- Testimonial from lecturer or proposed supervisor (Masters and Doctoral applicants)
- Masters proposal (maximum 2 pages)
- Doctoral proposal (maximum 4 pages)
- Signed and dated research proposals by both applicant and supervisor
Important Notes
- Incomplete applications will not be considered
- Password-protected or encrypted documents may lead to disqualification
- Only STEM-related qualifications will be considered
- Applicants with averages below 65% will not qualify
- Late applications may not be accepted
