
ITHUBA Bursary
Programme Overview
ITHUBA Holdings RF (Pty) Ltd, the 3rd National Lottery Operator, is committed to empowering South African youth from previously disadvantaged communities by providing fully-funded bursaries. The 2024 ITHUBA Bursary Programme offers high-achieving Grade 12 learners an all-inclusive bursary covering tuition, technology equipment, stationery, study materials, accommodation, and a monthly stipend.
Fields of Study
The bursary supports learners pursuing studies in:
- Commerce β Accounting, Management Accounting & Finance, Marketing
- Information Technology β Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, Communication Networks, Software Development
Eligibility Requirements
- Grade 12 learners with a minimum 70% average per subject and a 70% overall average from the previous academic year
- Applicants must be South African citizens
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need β legal guardianβs annual income must not exceed R350,000
Required Documents
- Certified copy of South African ID
- Certified copies of legal guardian(s) ID(s)
- Proof of legal guardian(s) income
- Certified copy of latest academic results
- Provisional admission letter from a South African tertiary institution
- Provisional admission letter for university residence or private accommodation
- Motivational letter explaining why the bursary should be awarded and plans for contributing to community upliftment
