Job Purpose
The IT Graduate will provide technical support under the guidance of IT administrators and the AMEP Project Manager. The role includes assisting with system administration tasks and contributing to improvements in digital tools, MIS, data integrity, and technology infrastructure.
This internship is designed to develop strong foundational skills in IT support, systems management, cybersecurity awareness, and data reporting while delivering responsive and reliable technical support across departments.
Principal Accountabilities
IT Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide support to staff on hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Set up and configure laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
Systems Administration
- Assist with account creation, user access control, and permission updates.
- Support routine system maintenance (updates, backups, patching).
- Monitor system performance and escalate potential issues.
- Maintain shared drives, collaboration tools, and internal platforms.
Data & Reporting Support
- Assist with data extraction, cleaning, and basic analysis.
- Troubleshoot internal system or dashboard issues.
- Conduct routine quality checks on data and report inconsistencies.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Apply basic cybersecurity practices and monitor for suspicious activity.
- Support IT audits and compliance checks.
- Promote safe technology use and data protection awareness.
Project & Administration Support
- Contribute to IT projects, system rollouts, and upgrades.
- Create training materials, user guides, and documentation.
- Maintain IT inventory and coordinate with vendors and shared service providers.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelorโs degree or National Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Prior internship or practical experience is advantageous but not required.
- Basic knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and cloud systems.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Teams).

- Understanding of operating systems (Windows, macOS).
- Basic networking knowledge (Wi-Fi, IP addressing, routers).
- Awareness of cybersecurity principles and digital hygiene practices.
