Overview

As a Graduate, you will support user account administration and basic IT support activities. The role focuses on creating and managing system access, troubleshooting login issues, and ensuring all account-related processes comply with established standards and security practices.

Purpose

This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in IT user administration and access management while ensuring secure, accurate, and efficient system access for users within the organisation.

Importance

User access and account management are critical to maintaining system security, operational efficiency, and compliance. This role ensures that account creation, access control, and troubleshooting processes are executed accurately to prevent security risks and operational disruptions.

Focus Areas / Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage user accounts according to defined standards and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve login issues after account creation.
  • Handle errors such as duplicate usernames and permission/access issues.
  • Ensure accurate capturing of user details, including correct spelling and information.
  • Maintain proper documentation and follow established naming conventions.
  • Support compliance with security and access control requirements.

Minimum Requirements / Eligibility

  • Matric certificate (Grade 12) is required.
  • Basic PC literacy skills (email, systems navigation, data entry).
  • Knowledge of Active Directory will be an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail to prevent errors impacting system access or security.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to follow structured processes.
  • Basic problem-solving skills related to user access and account issues.
