Overview
The Africa Talent by Deloitte β IT and Specialised Assurance Graduate Programme 2027 is a 12-month contract opportunity based in Midrand, Johannesburg. This programme forms part of Deloitteβs Audit and Assurance division and is designed to develop future IT Assurance and Technology Risk professionals.
Purpose of the Programme
The purpose of this graduate programme is to develop young technology graduates into skilled IT Assurance professionals. Graduates will gain structured learning, mentoring, and hands-on client engagement experience while supporting organisations in managing financial, technology, and business risks.

With increasing IT security threats, system outages, data integrity risks, and governance requirements, organisations need strong internal controls and secure information systems. This programme equips graduates with the skills to assess IT risks, evaluate controls, and contribute to risk-intelligent business solutions.
Focus Areas / Key Responsibilities
- Participate in IT audit and IT assurance engagements
- Work with engagement teams on international client assignments
- Assist in assessing IT systems, applications, and business processes
- Support clients in strengthening internal controls and governance
- Develop skills in business process design, time management, conflict resolution, and critical thinking
- Contribute innovative ideas and solutions within a multi-disciplinary environment
Programme Structure
- 12-month contract starting as a Junior Consultant
- Month 1: Organisational onboarding and training
- Months 2β12: Active involvement in IT audit assignments
- Opportunity for extension or permanent placement based on performance
Minimum Requirements / Eligibility
- BCom (Information Technology or Information Science)
- BSc Computer Science or Information Systems
- BEng Industrial Engineering
- Other relevant technology degree
- Postgraduate qualification advantageous
- Less than 6 consecutive months of work experience or no work experience
- Strong academic record and demonstrated interest in technology
