Deloitte β Africa Talent by Deloitte is offering the IT and Specialised Assurance Graduate Programme 2027 (6-Month Contract) based in Midrand, Johannesburg. Africa Talent is a standalone division owned by Deloitte Africa and Deloitte Netherlands, focused on developing African talent to serve clients across Africa and Europe. This programme is designed to equip graduates with technical and professional skills in IT Audit and Assurance.
Purpose of the Programme
The programme aims to develop young graduates into IT Audit professionals by providing structured learning, mentorship, and exposure to global best practices. Participants will gain practical experience in managing technology and business risks while supporting international client engagements.
Importance of the Programme
With increasing cybersecurity threats, data integrity risks, governance requirements, and privacy regulations, organisations require strong IT control environments. This programme prepares graduates to assist clients in ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of their systems while applying a risk-intelligent approach to audit and assurance.
Focus Areas / Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured 6-month work readiness programme
- Learn IT audit fundamentals and Deloitte methodologies
- Support IT audit assignments for international clients
- Assist in evaluating internal controls and technology systems
- Develop business process design and analytical skills
- Enhance time management, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Engage in mentoring, coaching, and peer-to-peer learning
- Gain exposure to global Deloitte member firms
Minimum Requirements / Eligibility
Qualifications:
- BCom in Information Technology or Information Science
- BSc in Computer Science or Information Systems
- Any other relevant technology-related degree
- Postgraduate qualification is advantageous
Experience:
- Less than 6 consecutive months of work experience or no work experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong technical aptitude
- Demonstrated interest in technology and business
