Valterra Platinum offers multiple learnership opportunities to develop skills and provide practical exposure in various trades at Amandelbult Mine. This programme is designed to equip learners with technical expertise and a foundation for a career in the mining and engineering sectors.

• Learnership Electrician x 2
• Learnership Boilermaker x 2
• Learnership Mechanical Fitter x 2
• Learnership Diesel Mechanic x 3
• Learnership Measurement Control & Instrumentation x 2
• Learnership Auto Electrical x 2
• Learnership Millwright x 2

Minimum Requirements / Eligibility

• Matric with Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Physical Science, and English (all minimum 40% pass), OR N2 or higher with all four subjects passed including Mathematics and Engineering Science.
• Trade-specific requirements:
  • Boilermaker: Plating/Welders Theory and Plating Structural & Steelwork Drawings.
  • Electrical: Electrical Trade Theory and Industrial Electronics, or Engineering Drawings.
  • Diesel Mechanic: Diesel or Motor Trade Theory and Engineering Drawings.
  • Mechanical Fitter: Fitting Trade Theory and Engineering Drawings.
  • Instrument Mechanician: Instrument Trade Theory and Industrial Electronics.
  • Auto Electrician: Motor Electrical Trade Theory and Industrial Electronics.
  • Millwright: Electrical and Fitting Trade Theories, Engineering Drawings or Industrial Electronics.
• NCV Level 4 in the appropriate trade with all subjects passed (minimum 40% pass).
• Attach CV, certified copies of qualifications, South African ID, and proof of residence (for host community applicants).
• Incomplete applications will not be considered.
