Purpose
The programme aims to develop skilled Millwright artisans through practical and theoretical training, preparing learners for careers in the industrial and engineering sectors while meeting national competency standards.

Millwright artisans play a critical role in maintaining, inspecting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment in industrial and mining environments. This learnership ensures learners gain practical skills, technical knowledge, and safety awareness necessary for the energy and chemical industry.
Focus Areas / Key Responsibilities
- Undergo practical and theoretical training aligned with QCTO and NAMB standards.
- Gain experience in maintenance, installation, inspection, fault-finding, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, maintenance planning, and performance evaluations.
- Work under mentorship from experienced artisans to develop professional and technical skills.
- Adhere to safety, teamwork, discipline, and continuous learning principles.
Minimum Requirements / Eligibility
- South African citizen.
- Matric or N3 qualification with passes in Mathematics, Physical Science, and English.
- 0β1 year relevant experience (entry-level).
- Willingness to learn and work in an industrial environment.
