A Higher Certificate pass does NOT allow direct entry into a degree, but it does open several important pathways.
✅ NEXT STEPS AFTER A HIGHER CERTIFICATE PASS
1️⃣ Study a Higher Certificate (NQF Level 5)
This is the most direct option.
You can apply for Higher Certificates at:
UNISA
University of Johannesburg (UJ)
TUT
VUT
Private colleges (IIE, Rosebank, Boston, Damelin, etc.)
📌 Duration: ± 1 year
📌 Purpose: Prepare you for a Diploma or Degree later
2️⃣ Progress to a Diploma (After Completing a Higher Certificate)
After successfully completing a Higher Certificate:
You may be admitted into a Diploma in a related field
This depends on:
